Jaya Bacchan
While reading about the recent Jaya Bacchan incident, I thought, she wasn't she a Bengali? Wasn't her maiden name Jaya Bhaduri? Technically she should have said that she was a Bengali and made her sheech in Bengali, which of course no one in the audience would have understood.

Well, she is a MLA in UP. Besides, potir dharmo satir dhormo. So... However, Bengali is so similar to Hindi and Marathi, most people would have understood plain Bengali.
